Do you regularly cycle in Paris? You and your bike could end up on the big screen. The team behind the film Pumping Black is seeking cyclists for the shoot, scheduled to take place in the capital between October and November.
In this psychological thriller, a professional cyclist nearing the end of his career is drawn into increasingly dangerous practices as the Tour de France approaches. That is the premise of the film, which stars Jonathan Bailey and Natalie Portman—quite the lineup.
“Actual cycling experience required”
The production is looking for men aged 18 to 35 who have “actual cycling experience”—a mandatory requirement stated in the casting call. Whether you are an amateur, a professional, or a competitive cyclist, the net is cast wide.
To apply, you must provide various details about yourself on the designated website—including, naturally, your cycling proficiency. Candidates who are shortlisted will then attend a casting session prior to the autumn shoot; the role offers a gross daily pay of 130 euros.
(It’s not about the money but have fun!)
