In a class of her own, Demi Vollering savored a prestigious and highly symbolic victory by winning Stage 9 of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
Wearing the Yellow Jersey, the FDJ United-Suez leader broke away on the final climb to the Col d’Èze via the Chemin du Vinaigrier. The Dutch star responded to an attack by Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney (Canyon-Sram) and powered away to secure her second overall title, following her 2023 victory.
She is the first rider to win the race twice since the women’s Tour returned in 2022. In the 1980s, Maria Canins won twice (1985, 1986), followed by a hat-trick from Jeannie Longo (1987, 1988, 1989). Having already won the previous day, the Dutch star claimed a second consecutive victory in Nice—her sixth stage win in the event overall and her first while wearing the Yellow Jersey. She thus emulates Annemiek van Vleuten and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, who sealed their overall victories in the 2022 and 2025 editions by winning the final stage. Elisa Longo Borghini (UAE L’Imad) rounded out the general classification podium following a crash involving Marlen Reusser (Movistar) on the final stage. Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) won the points classification for the second consecutive year. The polka-dot jersey went to Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Premier Tech), following her victory in the young rider classification in 2024. This time, the white jersey went to Antonia Niedermaier (Canyon-Sram).
Winner of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2026, Demi Vollering is the first rider to win the race twice since its return in 2022. It has been won by the Dutchwoman (2023, 2026), her compatriot Annemiek van Vleuten (2022), Poland’s Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney (2024) and France’s Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (2025). Two riders had won the previous version of the race, the Tour de France Féminin, at least twice: Italy’s Maria Canins (1985–86) and France’s Jeannie Longo (1987–88–89).
