One of the best cyclists of all time, Miguel Induráin, continues to give his name to the race that takes place in Estella (Navarra) every year. A tribute to his figure and an opportunity for powerful riders to shine, just before the end of the month of March so intense for Team Polti Kometa.

In the Gran Premio Miguel Induráin, six riders will take the start representing Team Polti Kometa, with Paul Double at the head. The climber has already demonstrated his good level against the best riders in races like the Settimana Coppi e Bartali. The Spaniards Alex Martin, Fran Muñoz and Javi Serrano will also be there. Three young riders with very different characteristics, with special attention to the role that Martin can play on his home terrain in the mountains. Completing the line-up are Davide De Cassan and Andrea Garosio, with the opportunity to shine and be protagonists in this competition.

Jesús Hernández, sports director: “It’s a complicated race to manage, in which many World Teams come to prepare for the Itzulia. So the objective is to be seen, to be protagonists, to look for options with Double and to rely on Martín or Garosio who are also in a good moment. The high level of participation encourages us to try to show our level and, if we can, get some results”.
