Held July 11–18 in China’s Qinghai Province, the 25th edition of the race brought a 22-team international field, including a UCI WorldTeam contingent, across roughly 1,355 km of high-altitude racing averaging near 3,000 metres. The route wound through Xining, Huangyua, Menyuan, Huzhu,Guide,Gonghe,Gangcha, Xihai Town, and Qinghai Lake Scenic Area, mixing sprint stages, KOM battles, and a demanding parcours that repeatedly reshaped the general classification.
The eight-stage race saw five different stage winners, a chaotic sprint finish on the circuit around Xining on Stage 1, and Stage 6 cancelled after severe weather forced a halt near the summit of the second KOM. Jonathan Klever Caicedo (Wheeltop Rotor Chengdu Team) took control of the GC from Stage 3 onward and held it through to Qinghai Lake, ultimately claiming the overall title ahead of Jan Castellón and Henok Mulubrhan (XDS Astana Team), with Iúri Leitão closing out the race with the final stage win.
