Paul Seixas Wins La Flèche Wallonne

Paul Seixas: “It’s the result of great teamwork”

“I want to thank all my teammates who rode hard from the start of the day, controlled the breakaways, and kept me well-positioned at key moments, I’m really happy to finish it off. Winning in my very first appearance is incredible! I was still watching this race on TV last year. It’s the result of great teamwork: our plan was to set a high pace on the Mur to wear out the other riders. After that, I went by feel, checking the signs to see how far I was from the finish, and I could see everyone was at their limit. When they dropped back a bit, I told myself I had to go all out to the top. Sunday in Liège will be a different story, but I’m going to fight to be in the best possible position, today’s result shows that I’m in great form.”
Key figure: 15
That’s Léo Bisiaux’s finishing position at the top of the Mur de Huy, a performance that highlights the team’s collective strength. Despite putting in a massive shift for his teammates, Léo remained fully committed until the line to secure a solid 15th place.
