Guinness Bianchi and Brumotti on the Burj Khalifa Tower in Dubai

On the saddle of his special Bianchi bike,  Italian cyclist Vittorio Brumotti and Bianchi set a record when he climbed the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest tower in the World.

Holder of seven Guinness World Records and bike trial world champion, Brumotti covered 3,700 steps and 160 floors to reach the top at 828 meters in two hours and 20 minutes, without ever resting his foot on the ground. The previous record was set five years ago in China, where three bikers successfully faced 2,008 steps on 88 floors on special trial bikes.

The Bianchi-Brumotti features a “MTB-trial” carbon frame, light and ideal for extreme conditions, designed on Brumotti’s riding style. It’s a carbon monocoque frame featuring a compact and very short rear triangle and a low bottom bracket, making the bike extremely stiff and reactive. The development of the carbon frame has been accomplished by Product and R&D Bianchi departments together with Brumotti himself and his staff.
