Benoît Cosnefroy wins Paris-Camembert

Benoît Cosnefroy: “I’m very happy”

“I had a hard time getting into the first group, but then I maneuvered well in the sprint to win, so I’m very happy. When you win with good sensations, it’s great, you push through to the end, but when you win with an average feeling as today, it’s always a bit more satisfying to have that outcome.”
Dries De Bondt : “I saw a lot of stars!”

“It hurts my legs and my head, I saw a lot of stars! There’s a bit of disappointment because I quickly felt that Jorgenson’s attack in the final was the right one. I think I still had the legs at that moment but I hesitate to follow. I tried to react a few kilometers later, unfortunately, I quickly felt that it was complicated in terms of legs. I’m happy to be fifth and to have weighed in on the final because the group was strong and I did my best. The objective of the day was the top 5, it’s successful.”
News: great team performance in Belgium
The team put in a fine collective performance on Dwars door Vlaanderen. In addition to Dries De Bondt’s fifth place, Pierre Gautherat and Damien Touzé finished in the group just behind, in eleventh and twenty-seventh positions respectively.
