Nestle’s Quick is one of the corporate sponsors of the race. They have some vehicles in the publicity caravan. In between talking about the race action, the announcers make some plugs for the sponsors. One of the announcers apparently doesn’t understand any English. While speaking about the product, he said “Allez tout le monde pour un quickie” which translates “Everybody go have a quickie”! I had to keep from laughing out loud! Several days later I had the opportunity to catch up with him and explained what that means in English. Apparently he didn’t understand me, because a day or two later I heard him again “Allez pour un quickie”!
