Shimano and “Internazionali” together for top-class MTB

Again in 2021, Shimano will be main sponsor of the most important Italian Cross-Country circuit: a long-lasting partnership keeps pointing higher

Over its consistent growth in recent years, Internazionali d’Italia Series could always rely on the support of a prestigious main partner: a brand that saw an opportunity in the most prestigious Italian circuit, while also playing a leading role in the Mountain Bike market on a global scale.

In 2021, Shimano keeps joining forces with Internazionali d’Italia Series for what promises to be one of the most exciting seasons of the five-year tenure by CM Outdoor Events.

World leader in cycling components, Shimano is a constant presence by the side of athletes and realities in international cycling, making this a significant part of the brand’s strategy and vision. To its involvement on the racing field, the Japanese brand combines the continuous development in technology in the MTB world: the strategic connection with Internazionali d’Italia Series represents an opportunity not only for the circuit, but for the Italian MTB movement as a whole.

“Ever since Shimano Italy has started its partnership with Internazionali d’Italia Series, we have actively supported the Mountain Bike events of the Italian calendar, whose role is decisive for the promotion of off-road cycling. We believe this collaboration has made us stronger. We feel honored to contribute to the development of Italian, cycling and we hope that our commitment has played a part in this process. We can’t wait to extend our project with Internazionali d’Italia Series in the coming years”, said Marco Cittadini, PR & Communication & Sport Marketing Manager of Shimano Italy.

Thanks to Shimano’s support, Internazionali d’Italia Series is warming up for what is expected to be its best season ever, thanks to a prestigious five-event calendar that features four events of C.1 category alongside the traditional ‘Hors Catégorie’ event in Nals. A five-stage journey that kicks off on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March in Andora.

“Shimano is more than a partner, it is a funding stone of this project from the very beginning, – explains Michele Mondini of CM Outdoor Events. – We feel like family with Shimano, that firmly believed in our project and in the relaunch of Mountain Bike, in terms of relevancy and media growth. With the support of such important partners, we are set to take Internazionali d’Italia Series even higher.”
