Bordeaux-Pauillac Time Trial Fabian Cancellara posted the best time of 1h00’56″99.  Tony Martin and Bert Grabsch finished second and third behind him. The story was whether Schleck would be able to overcome his 8 second disadvantage going into the stage.  He finished 23rd.

Bordeaux Totally flat today for 198 km.  The peloton finished in a sprint with Mark Cavendish winning and taking back the green sprinter jersey. The highlight of the day was the second presentation to Alberto Contador by actors Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise.
