Mountain Biking in Rocky Mountain National Park

Mountain biking has been prohibited in Rocky Mountain National Park while road riding is permitted.  Park officials are considering a 15.5 mile mulit-use trail. It would go from the Fall River entrance near Estes Park to Sprague Lake.  They’re also considering a 2 mile singletrack trail near Grand Lake on the other side of the park by the East Shore Trail.

Ken Salazar announced a grant of $2.2 million for trails in Colorado, including $337,000 for Estes Park to expand existing trails.

The assessment should be done this fall for East Shore.
