Laurent Fignon diagnosed with cancer

It was announced in Paris that former Tour de France champion Laurent Fignon is battling advanced cancer of the digestive track.  He’s undergone 15 days of chemo but thinks the cancer may have metastisized to his pancreas.  Fignon is 48 years old and is famous for his 8 second loss to American Greg Le Mond on the final day of the 1989 Tour de France.
