Mexican sensation puts pen to paper on new deal through 2031, just weeks after finishing on the Tour de France podium and claiming his first stage win

UAE Team Emirates-XRG are delighted to announce the contract renewal of Isaac del Toro, with the Mexican star committing his future to the team through to the end of the 2031 season.
Still just 22 years old, Del Toro has rapidly established himself as one of the brightest talents in professional cycling since joining the Emirati squad. Following his breakthrough victory at the 2023 Tour de l’Avenir, the Mexican has flourished within the team, developing into one of the sport’s most exciting stage race riders and a key part of the team’s long-term ambitions.
The 2026 season has marked another major step in Del Toro’s progression. The young climber has enjoyed the finest campaign of his career to date, claiming third place overall at the Tour de France with a stage win and the white jersey along the way. He also had major victories at the UAE Tour, Tirreno-Adriatico and Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
The extension represents another significant investment in the future by UAE Team Emirates-XRG, securing one of cycling’s most promising young riders through what are expected to be the prime years of his career.
