Greipel wins at Cap d’Agde

Andre Greipel took the win today at Cap d’Agde after easily climbing Mont Saint Clair along the Mediterranean.  Some French journalists described him as the most complete sprinter in the peloton. Cavendish and Goss had faded so his main rival today was Peter Sagan. He worked hard to stay with the first group.  He complimented his great team for all their hard work to help him even though they couldn’t shake Sagan.

It was a crazy sprint to the finish. Greipel commented on how fast Sagan is, and that he doesn’t have the green jersey for nothing. Greipel had guessed that the finish was a good one for Boassen Hagen so he followed him.  Greipel is still hoping he can win the green jersey by the time the race reaches the Champs Elysee.
