Felix Gall: “I gained a lot of confidence this week”
“As expected it was a big fight today with a super hard stage and a very steep final climb, the kind of ascent you only find in Spain. I’m super happy because it’s my first general classification win and it’s an achievement. I did a really good altitude block at Arcs 1950 and I came straight here. Oscar (Onley) and Giulio (Ciccone) are super strong riders, it was a big fight but we managed it well with the team and I’m glad it worked out. I gained a lot of confidence this week, now I’ll have a few easy days at home before heading to the Vuelta.”

With this general classification victory at the Vuelta a Burgos, Felix Gall adds to his record by securing the very first stage race overall win of his career. While he had previously triumphed in the U23 ranks at the Istrian Spring Trophy, Felix had never yet taken the overall win in a professional stage race.
