Felix Gall: “I hope to keep this leader’s jersey”
“It’s the first time I’m racing the Vuelta a Burgos and I was really looking forward to this race. I’ve heard many good things about it and today was the first good stage for me. I don’t win very often, it’s only my third professional win. I had a really good block of training and I’m feeling super good. The pace was really hard from the middle of the stage, but the team did a great job positioning me and keeping me safe to allow me to save energy. In the final, I always had someone from the team with me. After trying to attack a few times, I managed to get away in the last part. I hope to keep this leader’s jersey because that’s the goal, but first of all, I’m just happy with today.”
