A strong showing for Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe at the two major WorldTour stage races in March: Dani Martinez finished second overall at Paris–Nice, while Giulio Pellizzari secured third place at Tirreno–Adriatico. Two podium finishes across the two prestigious stage races held at the same time – a feat the team last achieved in the 2020 season.
Giulio Pellizzari confirms strong form at Tirreno–Adriatico
After a solid opening time trial, Pellizzari laid the foundation for his strong overall result on the gravel section of stage two. The exciting finale of the stage moved him up to second place in the general classification. Two days later, the Italian impressed again in the sprint and even took the race lead for a day. Over the final weekend, Pellizzari defended his position on the overall podium and – as he had already done at the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana – finished his second stage race of the season in third place overall.
Primož Roglič rounded off the team’s strong performance. In his first race appearance of the season, he finished fifth overall. In addition, Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe won the team classification at Tirreno–Adriatico for the first time.
Dani Martinez takes his best result at Paris–Nice
At Paris–Nice, the team time trial on day three created the first selection in the general classification. On the following stage, the team animated the race in wind and rain, turning the race on its head. Thanks to an impressive team performance, Dani Martinez moved onto the overall podium – and held his position despite a crash on the final stage. Second place marks the Colombian’s best result at Paris–Nice.
It was a really strong week for the whole team – everyone did a great job. Unfortunately I crashed on the final day. The pace was very high on the second climb and I tried to move up towards the front when I went down and hurt my ribs and my arm. For a moment I thought about stopping, but thanks to the support of my teammates I was able to continue and make it to the finish.

Depth of squad – team strength as the key to success
Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe continues to build on its strong start to the season. At Paris–Nice and Tirreno–Adriatico, the German team collected more UCI points than any other squad, making it the most successful team across both stage races – an achievement the team had already accomplished at the Opening Weekend.
These results underline the collective strength with which Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe has entered the spring season.
The team has been front and centre all week, committing to bold plans and racing with real intent. That’s the result of a lot of hard work over the winter from everyone across the team to be ready for moments like this. There’s plenty we can be proud of, but at the same time our ambitions are clear – we know there’s more to come, and we’ll keep pushing for it in the races ahead.
