In France and abroad, the DECATHLON CMA CGM riders continue to deliver strong performances. At the Volta ao Algarve, Paul Seixas finished third in today’s stage and secured his first overall podium in a stage race (2nd overall). Matthew Riccitello also achieved a top-10 finish (6th). Finally, at the UAE Tour, Felix Gall — third in yesterday’s queen stage — confirmed his 5th place overall today.
Tour des Alpes Maritimes – Paul Lapeira: “Happy to be back on top”
“I’m really happy to have taken this victory today. I had great legs and felt good on the climb to Gourdon; I knew I could win. Aurélien and Antoine put me in the perfect position to catch up with the riders at the front. In the finale, I told myself I had to attack right from the bottom. I took risks and gave everything to chase down our rivals, but it was worth it. It was a very intense race all day long, and that makes this result even more rewarding.”
