Aranjo Joins Team Colombia for 2013

There is a lot going on in Adro, at Team Colombia’s headquarters, where everything is being set up for the second competitive season. The registration procedures and the UCI Professional license renewal have been concluded, and all Claudio Corti’s staff members are now focusing on the upcoming campaign.

Everyone looks eager to restart, to rejoin those coming back for next season and to meet the new entries that will bolster the Escarabajos’ roster.  Among the new faces, Juan Esteban Arango Carvajal (Medellin, October 9th, 1986) joined Avila, Camacho, Quintero and Valencia to become the 17th rider of Team Colombia 2013 roster.

Just like Avila, Arango earned his fame on the track, notably in the Omnium and Scratch disciplines. While being part of the Colombian Team Pursuit quartet (along with Avila) took a big win in last month’s World Cup round in Calì. In addition, 26-year-old Arango can boast solid experience in road races, and will put his sprint and rouleur skills to the service of the Team in the most important European races. Next week, the roster will be finalized with the announcement of the 18th element for 2013 campaign.

The layout of the new bikes that will take the Escarabajos all around the World is being designed. In Castel d’Ario (Mantua), at the Nalini factory the new Team Kit is being studied, with the ambition to replicate the great success the 2012 version enjoyed among cycling fans
