ONE MOUNTAIN, THREE COUNTRIES, ONE EPIC ADVENTURE: THE RANDONNÉE DU MONT BLANC RETURNS
On 25 July 2026, Courmayeur will host the start and finish of the second edition of the Randonnée du Mont Blanc, the cycling event organised by EPICDAYS.CC. The route circles Mont Blanc clockwise through Italy, France and Switzerland, offering participants a choice between a 330 km course with 9,000 metres of elevation gain and a shorter Express route of 100 km with 3,000 metres of climbing. Both options are available in road and off-road versions, including gravel and mountain bike formats. With no rankings and no timing, the event is designed as a journey, encouraging riders to rediscover the spirit of sharing and adventure.
Courmayeur is set to welcome the second edition of the unsupported Randonnée du Mont Blanc, the cycling adventure organised by EPICDAYS.CC that, on 25 July 2026, will challenge participants to complete an extraordinary journey: circumnavigating Mont Blanc by bike through some of the most iconic roads and landscapes in the Alps.
Following its successful debut last year, the event returns with the same philosophy: a self-supported challenge with no rankings and no stopwatch, where every rider is free to set their own pace and experience the adventure in their own way.
It is a journey that constantly changes character throughout the day. The crisp air of the early morning, the first sunlight illuminating the Alpine ridges, long silent descents and waterfalls appearing unexpectedly along the route transform a sporting challenge into a continuous voyage of discovery. It is an immersive exploration of the region, undertaken independently yet shared within a community united by a passion for cycling and adventure.
The Randonnée du Mont Blanc offers two route options. The main course covers 330 km with approximately 9,000 metres of elevation gain, crossing Italy, Switzerland and France via some of the most legendary roads in Alpine cycling. The shorter Randonnée du Mont Blanc Express spans 100 km with 3,000 metres of climbing, travelling through Italy and France.
Both routes are available in dedicated road-bike and off-road versions, making the experience accessible to riders on road, gravel and mountain bikes alike. The long-distance route takes participants across some of the Alps’ most celebrated mountain roads, including the Little St Bernard Pass, Col du Roselend, the villages of Les Saisies, Megève and Chamonix, the ascent of Col de la Forclaz, passage through Martigny and, finally, the climb to the Great St Bernard Pass before returning to Courmayeur. The result is an uninterrupted succession of valleys, forests and spectacular high-altitude scenery.
As with all unsupported events, riders are responsible for managing their own accommodation, nutrition and logistics. However, they are far from alone. EPICDAYS.CC provides a detailed rider guide featuring route highlights, practical travel information and accommodation recommendations. In addition, thanks to integration with Komoot’s live-tracking system, organisers, family members and friends can follow participants’ progress in real time throughout the route.
No timing and no rankings, as promised, but every finisher will receive an official diploma presented personally by Andy Serighelli, the driving force behind the event. Last year, he welcomed every rider at the finish line—from the fastest participant, who completed the Randonnée du Mont Blanc in under 24 hours, to the final group of determined finishers who crossed the line five days later.
Included in the entry package is the presence of a dedicated photography team stationed along the route, capturing the adventure through images and content created specifically for participants.
Both the start and finish will take place in the heart of Courmayeur. On Friday, 24 July, the town will come alive with a welcome party, alongside a packed programme of talks, live music and activities designed to engage not only riders, but also spectators and cycling enthusiasts.
